This is the first aspect of my ideal client. I can really get to know them better, and I absolutely love that. I love that we're comfortable with each other, and that really helps when photographing them. I love a relaxed client!
The second aspect of my ideal client is that they love their family and love to have fun with them. They want portraits done to remember the joy and love of the moment. They realize that children grow up so fast, and time flies by. Their photograph is a memory of one moment, captured in time, so they can look at that picture later and remember exactly how they felt in that moment. Some of them tear up when they first see the photos of their child, or their family, or their wedding. They love them so much that they immediately want to share them with everyone. They even love photos of themselves, which they don't really expect. They love them so much that years down the road, they still might get a tear thinking of that memory, and remembering how much fun they had making it.
That's my ideal client.
It's a boy!!!
modern-family-portraits-ephrata-by-images-by-andreaCute Air Jordan's!
That's what this very cute couple had the pleasure of announcing to their friends and family.
fall-maternity-pictures-lititz-springs-parkBeautiful together!
And, they chose to do it in a very unique and humorous way:
Taly and Kyle both work at the same place, although at different times. On the day they chose to tell everyone they were having a boy, Taly went to work first, wearing her pink t-shirt with "We are having?" written across the front. Everyone wanted to know...does the color pink mean they're having a girl? But, they had to wait until Kyle got to work a few hours later, where after hiding behind Taly, he finally revealed..."A boy!" on the front of his very blue shirt. Surprise!!

This couple likes to have a lot of fun together!
And, they were so extremely awesome to work with, even though it was quite chilly the day we went to Lititz Springs Park to take their pictures. It was probably the last bearable day we'll have this year, although I'm sure Taly's bare belly would tell us that it was COLD!

]]>That was the day my "little" brother (as I still sometimes think of him) married the love of his life.
My family traveled to Savannah, Georgia to witness the wedding, which was held on a small island near Savannah called Tybee Island. The weather was warm, but not too bad for Georgia, and the wedding ceremony joining my awesome brother and his very beautiful bride was perfect. The couple also included Amanda's children in the ceremony, in a very special way, since they were joining not just two people, but four.
I was very honored to be able to take their wedding pictures, and we wouldn't have missed it for the world! I've gotta say, in all the weddings that I've shot, I might have teared up a bit, but I never had tears rolling down my cheeks before this one.
Welcome to our large and sometimes crazy family Amanda, "R", and "C"!!! I'm so glad I got the chance to know you all better and I'm so very happy I gained another sister!!! We all love you both and wish you a very happy lifetime together <3
Much Love,
Andrea
P.S.-This was just Day 1 of our adventure. Erik and Amanda and the kids all got up early the next day, and dressed up all over again, to go into Savannah to take pictures of their new family surrounded by the beauty of the parks and awesome architecture downtown. To be continued.......

"A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." -Lao Tzu
Wow!! Seven and a half years of school, finally over! Last Tuesday I graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associates Degree in Visual Arts/Photography. It took so long because I had to juggle school, a full-time job, kids, house, fiancée, life...but I did it!!!
And, though 7 1/2 years is a long time, and was a lot of work, it was also a lot of fun. Yeah, I know, homework, research, and term papers doesn't really sound like a lot of fun! But, I got to meet a lot of wonderful people, made some very good friends, and leaned TONS about something I Love very much-Photography. I was also extremely lucky to have the love and support of my wonderful family and friends. So, I'm planning on using Everything I learned on this journey, as I start my photography career.

I'm SO excited to begin this new chapter of my life!!
Much love,

September 10, 2011. Here is a sneak peek of some pictures of Chris & Will, a very beautiful, extremely happy couple I was honored to be able to photograph this past weekend. Believe me, I was very nervous, since this was the first big wedding I photographed by myself. But this couple made my job very easy!! They were both so nervous, but so obviously in love, it was such a relief to feel so comfortable with them.
Introducing: The Bennetts!!!
After all the rain, the flooding, the hurricane, etc…we were all really worried about the weather. This couple must be blessed with luck! We had a beautiful day, with tons of sunshine & those white fluffy clouds…the only rain came after all the outdoor photos were taken, and we were all on our way to the reception. I was driving down the highway, and I saw a huge rainbow, and I saw the end of it, next to the road, for the first time in my life. It started pouring for all of about 30 seconds, and that was it!! They say it’s lucky if it rains on your wedding day, so Will & Chris will hopefully have the very best of it. It couldn’t have happened at a more perfect time!
This was their awesome & fun wedding party:
Guys, I can’t thank you enough for letting me share your day with you!
